Tips to keep your makeup in place all day long...

Truth be told, when we ladies wear makeup, we want it to last forever-oh well, at least all day long. But that could be a bit tricky because sweat, humidity and oily eye lids can smudge your makeup in seconds. (GASP) I've got oily eyelids not to mention the humid Nigerian weather which affects me too. That's why I decided to give YOU makeup and touch up tips that will keep that well powdered chin up all day. Here they are;

1. Before you begin your makeup ensure that your skin is fresh and CLEAN especially those with greasy face and eyelids. Make sure you focus on those areas where you have excess oil while washing your face.

2. On your clean skin apply EYE PRIMER. Eye primer helps your eyeshadow and other eye makeup to stay in place and have a smooth finish. Do not use cream on your eyelids, that only makes matters worse.

3. If your eyelids are seriously oily, go for WATERPROOF makeup. (It is cool to check out the ingredients in such products to ensure that they are safe for your skin.)

4. After applying your makeup SET IT IN! What does this mean? This means adding a layer of setting powder, blotting powder or other makeup to set your makeup in place so that it can last longer. So if you use creamy or powder eye shadow, set in your look with powder eye shadow. While for your face in general, use blotting powder.

5. Get makeup REMOVER and/or cotton bud close by to put stray makeup in check.

6. Finally, CARRY your makeup with YOU for touch ups when you need it.

Follow these simple steps while applying your makeup and they'll stay on all day long.
