This season is all about strengthening your wardrobe with some flower power! A fresh way to get the look is the floral shorts!
The
floral short is young, vibrant and stylish. If you get yourself a piece
of this trend, don't go assuming that the only destination you should
be headed is the beach. Nada! Wear this trend hanging out with your
'girlies', out and about, shopping and more.
Here's how to rock the floral shorts;
Let's
assume that you are the shy type and you want to play it safe. If you
are, pair the floral short with a white blouse like this one.A white blouse on your floral shorts will most likely always work. Well...except your floral short has a white background or has a lot of white on it.
Ciara
opts for the white tank which is also easy.
A T-shirt is another simple way to rock the floral short.
If
you are even more conservative and you think the short reveals too much
skin, try the floral short with a long sleeve or 3 quarter sleeve blouse to cover more skin. P.S: We don't mean Rihanna is conservative. LOL. Speaking of Riri, pair a coloured blouse with your floral shorts by picking one of the colours on it or taking a similar shade to one of the colours like Rihanna's sweater.
.
Don't go thinking only plain fabrics can work with the floral shorts, similar patterns of floral or other prints can also be paired with the shorts. Though I prefer to make the floral short the focal point of my outfit, do what works for you.
Oh, and your pair of denim blouse can work too!
But
if you ask me my fav combo with the floral short is a jacket and cami.
Why? Being on the petite side means that I have to create a balance by making
the upper part of my body look a bit larger when I've made the lower part look smaller. Like this look on Kelly Roland. *whispers* Don't like the hair do though. LOL
Wedge heels, flat sandals, strappy sandal and pumps are great to pair with the floral short.
Remember that the key is to choose what works for you.
Enjoy the trend.
