Spotting a pair of Dungarees or overall can trigger a trip down memory lane. We did wear it in kindergarten and also in the 90s. Now this look is back maybe not with a bang like some other trends. But I advice the fashion conscious to adopt the trends that aren't so out there yet. The pleasure is mine.
How to rock this look? Here's a simple recipe!
Pour in some colour
 |
It may seem Like a lot since dungarees actually are a large single
piecs of clothing. However, a bright dungaree can add some vibe to your
look especially if you combine with a dark top like this pink suede 3.1
Phillip Lim overall.
Note: do not colour block. That's so last century! |
Drag in some Denim
 |
When it comes to dungarees denim reigns. But be careful, jeans can
tend to be either too young or too bulky so try to play safe. Distressed or
stone washed denim like this one piece on super model, Alessandra
Ambrioso can give a mature outlook. Look how she adds some life with
the bright coloured handbag.

Tonto Dike jazzes hers up with lots of accessories making a bold push to the edgy side.
|
Then again, with denim you've got to be careful. We don't want to look sloppy do we?
 |
Short Denim dungarees can be cute but if you are petite try to avoid it so you don't look like a toddler.
Shed off the chunk
 |
To avoid the bulk that comes with jeans stick to light weight fabrics
like this cotton piece from white box. Softer fabrics will add less
volume to your silhouette |
|
Sprinkle in some flavour
 |
Divert from the regular. Three quartre length overalls will make you stand out. Also try out unusual fabrics. This one is leather Note: Best worn in cold weather. |
Oh and here's my favourite. This is one of those overalls that falls between jump suit
and dungaree. It can so work for those that are a bit skeptic about
the dungaree look. Forget the dull colour. It's chic and comfortable
Currently adding the Dungarees to my shopping list!:D
